A tennis backpack has three jobs, and the cards on this page print how each bag does them. The rackets ride in a padded compartment shaped for them, two on the backpacks and six on the large bag, with the heads covered so a string does not catch on a zip. The shoes get a bay of their own with ventilation holes, so the court dust and the smell stay away from the towel and the keys. The drink goes in an insulated front pocket lined with foil, which keeps a bottle cold for the length of a match and takes a frozen gel pack on a hot day.

The rest of the bag is the ordinary business of a backpack done for a court: a main compartment with small pockets and a key hook, two mesh pockets on the sides for water bottles, padded straps in a mesh that breathes, and a fence hook on the top so the bag hangs on the net rather than sitting in the dust. The two-racket backpack comes in the most colours; the second backpack trades the shoe bay for an anti-theft pocket on the back and is the one for a court reached by train; the six-racket bag is for a coach or a family. All three are water-resistant polyester, and all three take a pickleball paddle where they take a racket.
