A rolling laptop bag is the answer to a walk, not to a laptop. The laptop was never the problem; the problem is the laptop plus the charger plus a binder plus lunch, carried on one shoulder from a car park to a third-floor room five days a week. So the frame comes first: two wheels in rubber rather than plastic, because rubber is quiet on a corridor and does not chip on gravel, and an aluminium handle with a button at the top that locks at each stop and collapses flat into a sleeve on the back.
