A lock on a rolling bag is not there to stop a thief with a knife; it is there so the bag can be left on a train seat while you go to the buffet car, and so the zips do not fall open on a platform. Both bags on this page close the main compartment with a three-digit combination lock set to digits you choose, and both carry the laptop in a padded 17.3-inch sleeve against the wheel side. The nylon bag adds a pocket flat against the back panel, between the bag and your body when it is pulled, for a passport and a wallet.

The two bags share the frame: two rubber wheels, an aluminium handle that locks at each stop, and a bag that stands upright with the handle down. They differ in the cloth and the front. The nylon bag has ten or more pockets and is the lighter of the two; the PU leather bag has a smooth face that wipes clean, an insulated pocket in the front for a drink or a sandwich, and the look of a briefcase rather than a piece of luggage. A lock is a deterrent and a zip-keeper and nothing more, and we print it as one.
