How we keep this catalogue current

What gets re-read, how often, and what happens to a bag that goes out of stock.

Prices

Every price on this site comes out of our own product data and is rewritten when it moves. The catalogue was last updated on September 14, 2026, and at that update it held 59 bags in stock across 219 colour, size and set combinations. Where a figure here and the figure at the till disagree, the till is the one that counts.

A bag we cannot currently buy does not appear at all. It is not hidden behind a “currently unavailable” label: it comes off the site at the next build and comes back by itself when it returns to stock, because the catalogue behind these pages keeps asking about it either way.

Laptop sizes, dimensions, wheels and pockets

These come from the same product data and are rebuilt from it on every pass, so nobody types a pocket count into a paragraph by hand. The laptop size on a card is the diagonal the sleeve is cut for at our last update; the dimensions are the bag closed, length by width by height; the wheel count and the handle are read from the same data. Where our product data gives no dimension or does not say what the bag is cut from, the line is left out rather than guessed, and where it gives one, the label sewn into the bag is still the document that governs care.

Pictures

Every photograph on this site shows the colourway being sold. Two kinds of frame are left out on purpose: the callout diagram with dimensions and feature names drawn across the picture, because it argues with our own specification beside it, and the comparison panel that sets our bag against an unnamed other, because a comparison with nobody is not one. A photograph that disagrees with what is written beside it is pulled rather than captioned around.

Claims about checkpoints, carry-ons, backpacks and lifting

Anything on this site that touches what happens to a laptop at an airport lane, the size limit on a carry-on, the weight limit on a child's backpack, or the weight limit on a lift, is written under a published source rather than over one. Phrases from our own product data -- water-resistant, 900D, opens flat -- are printed as claims about how a bag is built, not as promises about a downpour, a floor or a security officer. The register below is the whole of it, and every entry was opened and read on September 7, 2026 before a link was put on it.

Corrections

If a laptop size, a dimension or a pocket count on this site argues with the bag in your hands, write to wheels@ytonet.net with the page and the figure. It gets fixed at the next update, and we say what changed. The rest of what YTONET will and will not print about itself is set out in the editorial policy.

Laptops travel in carry-on and checked bags; in a standard lane the laptop comes out of the bag and into its own bin for X-ray, TSA PreCheck travellers leave it in, and the final decision rests with the officer at the checkpoint. A gel ice pack passes screening in a carry-on if it is frozen solid when presented; partially melted or slushy it counts as a liquid under the 3-1-1 rule; medically necessary packs are allowed in any state. The maximum carry-on for most airlines is 45 linear inches, height plus width plus depth, and the airline sets the limit that applies; heavy items go under the seat in front, bag straps are tucked in, and lithium-battery devices come out of a bag that is gate-checked. A backpack should not weigh more than 15% of the child's body weight; two broad padded adjustable straps, a padded back, a waist or chest strap, and the heaviest items nearest the back; a rolling backpack is an option when a pack is too heavy, if the school allows it. Revised NIOSH Lifting Equation · US National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, CDC. The equation gives a Recommended Weight Limit, the amount most workers can lift during a shift without the risk of a work-related musculoskeletal disorder, and NIOSH recommends the Lifting Index of a task be 1.0 or lower. Stopping Elderly Accidents, Deaths and Injuries: more than one in four people aged 65 and older falls each year, and over three million are treated in emergency departments annually for fall injuries; the programme is built on screening, assessing and intervening. Walkers with Wheels Versus Walkers Without Wheels for Fall Prevention in Older Adults · Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health, on the NCBI Bookshelf. Walkers come as fixed frames without wheels, fixed frames with front wheels, and rollators with three or four wheels whose front wheels swivel; the evidence comparing them for fall prevention is limited and the review says to read it with caution.
