YTONET Briefcases and Messenger Bags

The briefcase is the bag for the day when the sleeve is not enough and the wheels are too much: a padded 17-inch compartment, a front with pockets for the phone, the pens and the charger, and an expansion zip round the middle that adds nearly two inches of depth for the day the folders come home. It carries a shoulder strap, a pair of handles, and a strap on the back that slides over a suitcase handle, so it rides on a rolling bag through an airport and comes off at the gate. The cloth is water-resistant polyester with covered zips.

The messenger bag is the same day in a different cloth: PU leather that wipes clean and passes at a meeting table, a padded sleeve for a 15.6-inch laptop, a flap over the front with a magnetic catch, and a strap for a suitcase handle on the back. It carries less than the briefcase, a laptop and a notebook and a charger, and that is the point of it. Both bags open from the top so the laptop comes out in one movement at an airport lane, where in standard screening TSA asks for the laptop out of the bag and into its own bin.
